Brora is one of Britain’s best-loved and most successful modern cashmere brands. Established in 1993, we have steadily grown into a fully-fledged fashion label with our own distinctive viewpoint – highly individual, subtle, immensely wearable and mainly British-made.
Each season, our Founder & Creative Director, Victoria Stapleton, creates a range of timeless clothing to build a complete wardrobe using only the finest fabrics, such as tweed, silk, wool, and linen. Our collections are, for the most part, made from natural fibres, which hold antibacterial properties. Wearing garments made from these materials means less washing and on lower temperatures.

The company is 100% privately owned, with a business focus that is determinedly ‘Buy British’ and the key element being that all our cashmere is made in Scotland to the highest possible standards. By supporting British manufacturing, we can react to customer demand quickly and deal with each supplier personally to build outstanding relationships with them.

Keeping our brand values at the forefront, in 2021, we teamed up with innovative decarbonisation experts BeZero to examine our environmental impact. Using climate science, we worked out Brora’s entire carbon footprint for 2020 and have consequentially invested in global projects to neutralise the emissions we were responsible for. We are proud to announce we are Carbon Neutral for 2020 and pledge to remain environmentally sustainable!

We want to bring our customers the best products of the highest possible quality. To that end, a small percentage of Brora designs are not made in the UK. When we source abroad, we use suppliers that are specialists in their field. All of them must agree to our code of conduct, and we are clear on the importance of health and safety, worker welfare, and environmental impact.

To the present day, we remain true to our quirky, slightly vintage-inspired self, all while moving with the turn of fashion’s wheel each season. We now have nine shops throughout the UK and an international store on New York’s Madison Avenue.
